After starting this two part episode with "Jealous of the Sunrise" how could I end it with anything other than "Lunar Eclipse"?

This song was originally issued by Doc's Kids in 1996 on their legendary, cherry-red cassette "Full of Dirt and a Nickel Richer". A re-recorded (at Memphis Central) version was issued later on the CD "Relaxed But Not Too Slow: An Anthology". Best of luck nagging them for a copy of either of those. You can try here if you wish:

Doc's Kids on facebook.

Karl and I listened to Full of Dirt dozens of times driving from our home base of Northfield to our shows at the Menomonie, Eau Claire, and Winona Acoustic Cafes. It is a perfect album; everything you could want from a classic four-piece rock band.

Karl and I once attempted to cover "Lunar Eclipse" at the Winona location with Doc's Kids in attendance. Before playing it we said we were huge fans of the band, then we couldn't think of the lyrics to verse 2.

We were immediately and justifiably mocked. "Huge fans! Suuuure!"

Can you identify the special guest vocalist on this recording? The first person to message me the name on facebook wins a case of 25 Urban Rust CDs.

Lyrics:

I see myself fading
as the moon begins to rise
Sun sets behind mountains
Fire! --- gleamin' in your eyes
Nighttime draws a cool breath
October approaches soon
Look away as I search for
the darkness of the moon

Without your lips, lunar eclipse
Without your lips, lunar eclipse

A straight line is forming
before my own eyes
With minutes to wait
while black turn the skies
Boom boom say the clouds
Time counts, seconds going by
The storm's getting closer and my
eyes want to cry

As the record skips, lunar eclipse
As the record skip, skip, skip, skip

Instrumental

I'm charged with treason
Clouds need to move away
Then I realize the reason for such
a long delay
I see myself fade
The moon declines to rise
Sun sets behind mountains
Fire! Still gleamin' in your eyes

Your perfect hips, lunar eclipse
Your perfect hips, lunar eclipse
Long road trips, lunar eclipse
Without your lips, as the record skips, your perfect hips, long road trips,
Without your lips, as the record skips, your perfect hips, long road trips,
Lunar eclipse
