20. You've Heard Those Words Before (take 1) (w/keyboard, vocal overdub)
An interesting early version of a classic Evan song. Evan sings a very effective contrary motion vocal harmony that reaches some dark, empty sounding intervals, perfect for the washed out relationship depicted in the lyrics.
21. The True Rise of the Machines (untitled keyboard instrumental 7)
22. Tell Me Kitty (untitled keyboard instrumental 8)
23. Kitchen Syncopation (untitled keyboard instrumental 9)
24. We're In The Glen, My Friend (untitled keyboard instrumental 10)

26. Sneaker (untitled keyboard instrumental 12)
27. Waves and Pipes (untitled keyboard instrumental 13)
28. Eerie Fire Dance (untitled keyboard instrumental 14)
i. Fire in the Forest
ii. The Dance
iii. Run
29. Slice of America
A "concept" song which lists several proper nouns, mostly place names. The names are used for their sonic qualities. Repeating the title at the end a few times makes this sound like a surprisingly effective protest song of some kind. Not to be missed.
30. Please, Please Believe (cuts off suddenly)
31. The Ship Comes Home (untitled keyboard instrumental 15)
32. Three Versus Four Is Siete (untitled keyboard instrumental 16)
33. I Heard a Pleasant Whisper (untitled keyboard instrumental 17)
34. Silver Bells (keyboard instrumental) (cover song)
35. At the Birdfeeder (untitled keyboard instrumental 18)
36. Why Must We? (untitled guitar instrumental 3) (w/keyboard overdub)
37. Football Is Now Mandatory (untitled keyboard instrumental 19)
38. Track Is Now Mandatory (untitled keyboard instrumental 20)
39. Nothing Wrong With (w/keyboard overdub)
Somewhat shocking and suggestive lyrics elevate this protest song.
40. Try Just A Little Bit More (w/keyboard overdub)
Effective vocal delay help make this song interesting.
41. The Primary Seasoning (a.k.a. Hiding Guitars in Church) (untitled guitar instrumental 4) (w/keyboard overdub)
42. Reach Out And Touch Someone (take 2) (w/keyboard overdub)
A song about calling phone sex lines.
43. Golden to the Touch (w/keyboard overdub)
44. All I Really Ever Needed (w/keyboard overdub) (take 1)
A great bridge is almost all that is retained for the next version.
45. All I Really Ever Needed (w/keyboard overdub) (take 2/alternate version)
46. Nothin' Ever Really Seems To Change (take 1) (w/keyboard overdub)
A very good song Evan returned to often in later recordings and performances. Later the word "quite" was effectively repeated very quickly as in "Nothin' here ever really quite quite stays the same."
47. Little Things (w/keyboard overdub)
A catchy hook with a nice high harmony vocal. This song could be developed very effectively.
48. Someday (I Didn't Really Know) (take 1)
Obviously a song that meant a great deal to Evan, as several versions were recorded, all featuring keyboard, drum machine, and vocal harmony. Even in this first version has more sections than most of the songs on this disc.
49. Someday (I Didn't Really Know) (take 2 - incomplete - cuts off abruptly)
This version adds more vocal harmonies and a section about "Home".
